Innovators Program

Linden invites contemporary artists and curators to apply to be part of our Innovators Program of exhibitions. Proposals for exhibitions at Linden are accessed once a year.

The deadline for the next round of proposals is in 2014 for projects in 2015.

Exhibitions in Linden's five exhibition spaces change every 6 to 8 weeks and feature the work of emerging to established artists from within Victoria, interstate and overseas.

The Innovators Program of exhibitions provides the opportunity for artists to exhibit in a dynamic exhibition program. Linden provides the gallery spaces free of charge, participating artists receive an artist fee and the exhibition is accompanied by a catalogue, invitation and media/marketing support as well as technical installation.

Contemporary artists are invited to apply to exhibit new and innovative work for the five gallery spaces and the grounds of Linden.

Each exhibition proposal must:

  • feature new work or premiere work from overseas artists in Australia
  • clearly articulate the ideas/issues being explored in the proposed exhibition
  • display artistic excellence and reflect contemporary art practice
  • be innovative, ambitious and experiment with materials or ideas
  • be appropriate to and consider the gallery spaces.

Eligibility

Applications are open to all professional artists and curators. Please note: students who graduate in 2013 may submit a proposal. However, current undergraduate students are ineligible to submit a proposal.
