In Your Own Time
In Your Own Time is an exploration into movement,
memory and meaning.
Each video motion records a measurement of time, and each body
represented is a trace of time mediated through the viewers
kinaesthetic memory.
A reading is made In Your Own Time by a
choreography of endurance and repetition. As the body is always
ageing time can be mapped by collapse or repetition.
One image represents the repetitive motion of a dancer
attempting to regain movements once stored and now subject to the
ageing body, whilst another moving image is of a body seemingly
invaded by its own memories and subjected to endurance to the
point of collapse.
