Christian Thompson first exhibited at Linden in 2002 soon after arriving from Brisbane as a young unknown artist. He is now one of Australia's best known Indigenous contemporary artists. His work continues to explore the idea of self representation and issues of identity albeit in a tongue in cheek way. Hunting Ground consists of three large Lambda self-portraits of the artist bearing sporting and eye receptacles that have been transformed from kitsch decorative plates from the 1950s.
