Flash19 September - 2 November 2008 Julia Gorman, Katherine Huang, Anne-Marie May, Peter McKay, Louise Paramor, Giles Ryder Linden is proud to present Flash, an exhibition bringing together six artists from diverse backgrounds whose engagement with colour and light ranges from the poetic to the explosive. Flash suggests a fleeting vision, a chance encounter and the jocular slang for something sleek and expensive - each of these elements influencing the works in the exhibition, from the optical to the optimistic, the grungy and gaudy. The exhibition situates the viewer within the very moment of seeing something for the very first time, obsessing over industrial finishes and standing in wonderment at the world.
