Gallery 1 - Ruins
Cyrus Tang's video installation outlines the artist's effort to construct an imaginary space that is made up of distorted childhood memories and fantasies of her homeland. The work examines the paradox of reconstructing ephemeral mental images and sensations in permanent materials. It also suggests a sentiment of nostalgia through a process of disappearance.
Gallery 2 and grounds - You Should be Treated Like a Princess
This experimental installation of new work in sound, embroidery and books by Jessie Angwin is based on documentation collected during a research trip inspired by Princess Masako of Japan. The work attempts to invert the phrase of endearment expressed in the exhibition title by re-contextualising the real life of Owada Masako, a woman whose fifteen years of isolation has compromised her independence and health.

Gallery 3 - Inclusive Participation
A video installation based on a performance by the Mass Graves Orchestra. Artist Ben Millar has created a musical score, specifically for six strings, to establish a connection between the participation of six different musicians working together towards a common end. The common end is the sound of a single guitar. Each of the participants had to work closely together within a collective environment to achieve the outcome.
Gallery 4 - The Triumph of Adversity
Simon Mee consciously uses the craft values of painting and drawing for their alluring and decorative qualities, enticing the viewer into embracing narratives that are elusive in regards to their ultimate meanings and moralities. In this way he is able to create visual "Gordian knots", entwining popular and historical awareness that inhabit an area of interest or concern to him. He particularly enjoys working with humour. In this respect the work has been informed by Fragonard, John Currin and Walton Ford. Our everyday surroundings, art history and news provide appropriate scenarios for investigating personal, social and artistic issues.
Gallery 5 - Film Still: Landscape (Darkness at High Noon)
A series of four panels by Christine Collins hang in the centre of the gallery. On one side, the audience encounters an image of landscape - a film still appropriated from a classic western and rendered as a line drawing using fine copper wire that transmits sounds. In the foreground are the sounds of characters marking territory and the showdown between the hero and the villain. On the other side of the panels, separated from their location, are the cowboys themselves, captured in frozen gallop toward the viewer.
