Most often I am drawn to ways of describing the world which reveal the conscious and unconscious moral position of the person who is seeing.

A family 'tree' implies much about a person’s perception of the family. I have treated this project as a commission.

In producing this work, I have attempted to map the often disparate events of an individual's or family's existence in a manner which reflects the outlook of some major protagonists in the Michaelis family story.
