Tessellations

Shapes that tessellate fit together perfectly. They can cover a surface with no overlaps and no gaps. M.C. Escher, one of the world’s most famous graphic artists, was a master at creating tessellations, particularly using animal forms. This activity provides an interesting way for kids to learn about tessellation, create beautiful patterns and have fun learning about shapes.
