Join Yorta Yorta/Wamba Wamba/Mutti Mutti/Boonwurrung artist Maree Clarke for a hands-on workshop at Linden New Art
on Saturday 28 March, 1 – 3 pm. Inspired by her artwork Long
Journey Home: We Are Still Here
that will be displayed on Linden’s façade, participants will create their own necklace using river reed, the plants which form vital
wetland habitats along local riverbanks and coastline. In creating their own necklace, participants will learn about Boonwurrung People’s
connection to their country over tens of thousands of years.
Suitable for all ages. Children younger than 8 will need to be accompanied by a parent/guardian/carer.
Cost to attend is free, but bookings are required to assist with materials and resourcing.
