In conjunction with Jill Orr's ongoing exhibition, The Promised Land Refigured, this interactive workshop aims to facilitate
the sharing of diverse narratives surrounding migration to Australia across generations, nationalities, and circumstances.
Artist Dagmara Gieysztor will lead the group in learning a straightforward paper folding technique, which will contribute to a collective installation showcased in the gallery. These paper boats symbolise not only a metaphorical representation but also a contemplation of Australian colonial and migrant histories, with a respectful acknowledgment of the traditional custodians of the land.
